Giant Chocolate Box, 2013

This giant box of chocolates (with working lid) was created for a clothing shop to display in their front window.



Dream Cones, 2012
Various fabrics, sequins, polystuffing, newsprint, LED strand lights, glitter
This installation was replicated twice, one for each shop window. There were 12 fabric cones in total. Clouds were illuminated from below, providing a dreamy glow to the windows when the shop was closed.

The following are a few snaps of shop window installations for a clothing store:
Banner: canvas with acrylic paint
Lipstick tube with fitting lid: Styrofoam, cardboard, acrylic paint
Makeup compact (with detailed top): velvet, mirror, Styrofoam, acrylic paint
Makeup compact lid with a coat of primer, later to be finished with detailed painting and a gloss.
F-O-X-Y letters: Styrofoam, acrylic paint, craft glue, glitter
Giant Fox: original pattern / velveteen, corduroy, poly-satin, muslin

Detail of sewn seagull before painting. Seagulls were given a generous coat of paint to give
them an impressionistic painterly feel. I sewed thick wire into the border of the wings so that I could
position them into realistic flight postures on-site. There were ten seagulls in total.

These late-spring installations were inspired by dutch tulip fields and are depicted here before
I installed a "rain-shower" of falling fabric flower buds.
